How to buy and sell domains?
The place to buy and sell domains is called aftermarket (domains that have been registered andare now for sale). The most popular sites for this are Sedo (www.sedo.com) and Afternic (www.afternic.com), you can find a lot of domains there and you can easily look for them by category or typing keywords on their search box. But what if I the domain I want is already registered by someone? If this happens you have to look up who the domain owner is at www.whois.sc, and you can either email/call the owner with an offer for the domain or you can wait until the domain expire and backorder it (we will be seeing this in other chapter). Another way of finding a domain name to buy is looking at the big communities of domain talking on the internet . They all have a place to buy/sell domains. And what if I want to sell my domains? If you want to sell your domains, here are some things you can do: Portfolio: If you have a lot of domains you can create a portfolio with all of them. Registrar, price and ask if someone wants to buy one to email you. Aftermarket: You can also publish your name at the big aftermarket sites, sedo and afternic. Forum: Another thing you can do is add your domain(s) to domain communities in their buy/sell domains category.
